What are Keys?

Unlock posts beyond 4 weeks

Overview

Keys are a feature in Retro that allow you to view a friend's older posts beyond the standard viewing window.

By default, Retro friends can only see each other's posts from the last 4 weeks. When a friend gives you a Key, you'll be able to access their posts from the 5th week and beyond, letting you explore more of their memories and moments shared on Retro.

Keys are personal and can only be granted by the friend whose posts you want to view.

How Keys Work

If a friend has not given you a Key:

  • You can view their posts from the most recent 4 weeks.

  • Posts older than 4 weeks will not be visible.

  • Once you reach the end of the available posts, older content remains locked.

If a friend gives you a Key:

  • You'll be able to view their posts older than 4 weeks.

  • Access extends beyond the standard viewing window, allowing you to browse more of their shared history on Retro.

  • Only the specific friend who granted the Key can provide this access.

How Many Keys Can I Give?

By default, all Retro users have 1 key to give a friend. Retro Premium users have unlimited keys to give. Learn more at:
