Overview
Retro keeps your account tied to the sign-in method you first used to create it: Apple, Google, or phone number. If you sign in with a different method than the one you originally used, Retro treats it as a brand-new login and starts a fresh, empty account instead of opening your existing one.
The good news: your original account and its photos are not gone. You just need to sign in the same way you did when you first created it.
How to Get Back Into Your Original Account
Open the Retro app.
If you are on the new, empty account, sign out first.
On the login screen, look for the sign-in options:
Continue with Apple
Continue with Google
Continue with Phone Number
Select the same sign-in method you used when you first created your Retro account.
Complete the sign-in process. Your original account, friends, and photos should reappear.
Note: If you don't see all of the options right away, look for the link “already have an account?” to find more options.
Important Notes
A new account is created per sign-in method, so signing in with Apple when you originally used Google (or a phone number) will start a separate, empty account.
Avoid posting, adding friends, or sending postcards from the new empty account. Activity there cannot be merged into your original account.
If you are unsure which method you used, try each option one at a time until your original account appears.
